Ultimate HD / Man Cave Garage

When I got married, between my wife and I we had 7 bikes.
So our garage was too small and where we live in a manufactured home park, we were not allowed to knock the back wall out and extend the garage. We did find out from the State Building Inspector that we were allowed to do what is called a garage extension, which will allow us to build another garage on the other side of the wall and install a door between the two rooms.
We had a room built and put commercial carpet on the floor with no padding since the padding would make the bikes hard to push. We also made the door a 6' wide double door in case we end up with a Tri Glide, we will be able to push it through to the other side. We installed a new circuit breaker box with more wiring for several wall outlets for all the battery tenders we use along with a separate 15amp circuit for the air compressor. We basically made the room a place to park and work on the bikes in any weather condition. (we added a wall mounted heater/AC unit)
We call this room The Toy Shop, since we park all our toys in there.
It is great for working on bikes or doing whatever. We also have a TV and my wife has her exercise machine in there.

Very cool... Love the garages with exposed rafters like that.
Here's a few photos of mine. They're a bit out of date - now I have a high-top bar table with a couple of stools, an old recliner and a rolly-table, so it's a bit more crowded in there but also more functional. This has evolved over a lot of years as it was a total dump when I bought the house 16+ years ago. Key is to take your time, figure out how you're going to use the space and organize it accordingly and pick things up along the way.
