and i'm here to talk about it... in one peice. had a guy in a grand marquis turn left in front of me this morning, he was pulling out of a gas station on my right. just one of those things that happened so damn fast all i could do was react. had 2 ways i could go, right- hit curb -BAD. left- maybe, just maybe, swerve enought so if he does hit me, it will be a glancing blow. i swerved to the left, and he managed to thump my scoot with the right front corner of his car, he hit the right saddlebag bar and bag. bounced the bike to the side pretty good too, but i didn't drop her. gonna take her to the dealer tomorrow for an estimate, all i could see was a broken saddlebag lid, gouged up bag, bent crash bar, and the support under the bag is tweaked. guy didn't even realize he hit me!!! i had to turn around and follow him until i got his attention. he thought the thump was his bottle of pepsi falling out of his cupholder onto the floor of his car! worst part is, as he was apologizing, he told me he rides! and of course, his excuse was... what else, HE DIDN'T SEE ME!!! still did manage to get in a nice ride this afternoon tho... funny thing is, when i driving the cage and some dumba$$ does something stupid, i lose it and scream and yell and generally want to f*** them up. this guy does this, and somehow i stayed very calm, and just lectured him on the importance of watching out for bikes.

she'll survive, and it'll be a real easy fix. after i see the dealer for an estimate i'm going to call him. he want's to pay for the damage himself and bypass his ins. co. i told him i'll give him a couple of days to pay before i contact his agent. once i'm reembursed i intend on doing all the repairs myself.

I was hit one year ago today by a lady who told the officer at the scene that she was in a hurry to pick up her friend at the train. They told me this at the hospital as I was out for for a while. It was a nice day today but I didn't ride. I'm glad your OK.
