Default Speedo sticking

This has happened twice now on rides over a few hours. Both times, when decelerating, the speedo stops at a certain speed (70 this last time, 40 the first) and stays there all the way to stopping. Then when I take off, it's like that spot is now zero so yesterday when I was going 40 it said I was going 110.
The only fix is to completely turn off the bike, and only once I've re-turned on the ignition switch does it go back to zero but it goes down in a jumpy manner, not smoothly.
Anyone heard of this?

2015 fatboy lo with 2800 miles. Bought new.

You should be having this conversation with the dealership since it is a new bike under warranty.

Thanks for your contribution. I'm guessing you haven't heard of this before?

It could be a faulty speedometer or it could be something bigger since the speed is calculated from the transmission sensor & ecm.
