New Biker Uniform?

It always amazes me how much attention some of you guys pay to what others wear when they ride. Honestly it doesn't even register with me unless you have on something really outrageous like if you were tooling down the highway wearing a jock strap and a sombrero. That I might notice and remember. If you have on some form of pants and a shirt, it won't make any impact on me and I couldn't say with any certainty what the current "fashion" for riding is around here or anywhere else for that matter.

In all seriousness, who cares what people wear. Ride your bike live your life.

I am a college prof and a preacher. Once in a while (not often) I'll ride to school or a church with dress clothes and even a tie (tucked in military style. Once, I was dressed up on the bike and stopped to gas up, the guy next to me took a double take and said, "Wow, you don't look like a biker."
My reply, "Good."

......I never forgot what that old man said and I stopped wearing “biker” clothes unless I was actually riding. Now a days I tend to wear plain white t-shirts. I follow that old man’s advice and try to blend in to the crowd. And I still get away with a politically incorrect thing now and then!
So, go ahead and wear what ever you like, I’m not going to judge you on your character or think less of you (at least until I get to know you). Your clothes don’t make you any more or any less of a man. But don’t be surprised if you get a little good natured ribbing if you look too much like Ronald McDonald!
