why dosent harley just have a glide line for all glide models like super glide, street glide road etc. makes more sense than having glides in several different lines dosent it?

Well, if ya think about it the only "glides" are all rubber mounted whether they are the Dyna's or the Touring.

 

I guess you would have to ask the MoCo.

When the Super Glide started it had the same frame as the Electra Glide. Sice then they have diverged, and the progeny of these two lines are built on different frames. Given that the FX line and the FLH line now have different frames, they can't be put into one family.

 

It's all about MOCO marketing....and their pretty good!
