Default trailer?

Looking for a decent 1 - bike motorcycle trailer. What size works the best to haul a 12 Street Glide? Any experience with bike trailers out there?
Thanks, Jeff

A 6x12 enclosed trailer is a nice utility trailer. You can squeeze 2 bikes in it if needed. Also serves well as a dry cabin at times. You can certainly get by with less but I'm not to interested in hauling my bike very far in open trailer.

You're gonna get a lot of opinions here.
I used to have a two rail Kendon Stand Up trailer. Got rid of it for a much more useful 6x10 steel utility trailer. Got rid of that and love my Aluma 7210H. Might be a bit bigger than what you are looking for. Regardless, the aluminum trailers from Aluma and Triton are really nice and lightweight.

I have a Sure-Trac 7x12 utility trailer with a rear ramp/gate. It has 15" tires, and pulls just fine behind my F150. I added three wheel chocks in the front, side by side, and I also added tie-down pointsup front and in the rear. This allows me to carry either one or two full-sized touring motorcycles.

The price of the trailer was $1450. I spent an additional $200 or so on chocks and heavy-duty eyelets. A couple of hours with some tools, and it's far better than any of the "motorcycle trailers" - and a lot less expensive.

Yes, I could have spent a lot more on a much fancier enclosed trailer - and that was considered. But, this is something that's going to be used once a year . . . maybe twice. And, it can be used for hauling lots of other things, too.

It's nice having access to a trailer when you need it. But, I just don't trailer my motorcycle often enough to spend a ton of money on a quality enclosed trailer to suit all of my needs.

I just got a used 5 x 10 Worthington aluminum 1 bike open trailer. Weighs 450 lbs and hauls my Road King with room to spare. Has 4 foot ramp that stores underneath when not needed.
