I've worn out 3 Michelin rears on my 2014 Street Bob, the original Scorcher, and two Commander IIs. All three were down to the wear bars between 8-9000 miles. I'm currently 3000 miles into a Dunlop American Elite.

I'll go with less mileage/ stickier tire. The few extra feet i will save braking is worth it.

BS on the MICHS II's commanders (Claims they will go 2X the mileage))

I only got 2K more out of the REAR which was OK ,, but I only got 1/2 of the mileage out of the Front ( it was worn out a 12k also) VS the stock LOPS 402's That'd go an easy 20K.. and I put them on at the end of the yr before last yr...

I"ll never -- BUY the Mich's commander II's again....and both of them was CUPPED really bad after 8k...

This time I when with the LOPS new America Elites and I''ll have to see how they do..

"Nearly" is about as meaningful as "up to" in ad speak.

I'm on my 2nd set of MC2's. My Indy got me a great deal on these tires and they were about the same price as the tires that were already on my bike. I Never got Nearly twice as much mileage but I did get more mileage than what I was used to getting. So since the price was about the same but my mileage was definitely better, I am happy because I feel that I got more bang for my buck. Granted experiences will vary considering riding style, size of bike, riding solo or two up, just to name a few but bottom line, I am happy with the results I got on my Springer.

Don't forget "virtually".

I like the MCII tire.

Currently have a little over 9k on original Scorcher 31s. H-D tire depth guage still into green on front and even better on rear. Certainly YMMV, but they are capable of high mileage. I'm satisfied with ride qualities and traction. Still, wondering about changing to ME 880s to see if the silica makes a difference.

Bought a set last Spring and so far I like them.

I had problems with the Dunlops holding pressure and not so with the Michelins.

Everyone is going to have a different experience with tire performance.
There are just too many variables.

I like the way the CII tires ride/feel, I get the same mileage as the Dunlop 402's.

I get 2 to 1 rear vs front, when the set wears out I'm going to try the Elites.
