Great Harley Dealer in College Station Texas
The day before the ROT rally I found out I had a small puncture in my rear tire. My local dealer wanted $299 for the tire and over $100 to install so I asked around and a friend told me that if I could ride it, take it to Independence Harley in College Station. So, I called and left a message Thursday morning and let them know I was on my way and needed a tire (all on faith that they would be able to help). Once I got there they only had the OEM dunlop which am ok with, if I hadn't run over something I could have easily got 15K miles on it and no problems with the ride. So, I asked "how much?" and the guy said $250....I am like....well....better than $299 but then he said "installed". I put out my hand, shook his hand and said "lets do it". While they had the brake caliper off they noticed my pads were toast so mentioned it to me and since it was already on the rack I asked them to go ahead and replace.
So, I had a new tire installed and new rear brake pads installed plus they washed my bike. I was in around 9am and heading towards Austin at 10am and all for only $357 OTD and they were totally cool as well.
I am impressed to say the least.

Stock pads are $57.98 plus labor and don't forget that $250 did not include tax so add that as well. That is $50 for install and tax on the whole thing. Tax would have been around $20 so $30 extra to install pads isn't exactly highway robbery. Considering the pickle I was in I found it very fair. They charged less time since the caliper was already off for the tire change. I would ride back to have them do the pads again at that price. No sense in me doing all the labor to save $30.
