Doing biker stuff you will see 1%ers..least likely places are the local little bike nights in your area...and still may see em from time to time

Hardcore? We met a guy at the Hot Springs Ark. Rally who was 80 yrs old and had never ever driven a car. Every where he went was on two wheels. I can get a pic of him uploaded to ya soon just need to get with my friend who took his picture.

Like others have said the larger commercial rallys are pretty much the same. Some of the "campground" rally's get wild. My definition of wild would be alot of nudity. Stuff you have never seen before and probably wouldn't want to see again.

I find the big ones like Laconia and Daytona one big traffic jam. Rendezvous is fun in that its enclosed, owner security and while crowded and you won't sleep for 3 days its been a blast everytime I been. I been to about 15-18 Rendezvous and as many Laconias and a couple Daytona. Myrtle Beach coming up is huge andfun. The huge ones are a blast especially if you've never been.
I don't have the nerves and patience for that any more (although you never get tired of the exposed mamaries! Why is that?). I like Nova Scotia in August or Ashville in May. Hotels and all you can eat breakfast buffets, LOL. And I been known to ride a long way with a same lone Honda Goldwing rider.
Me and my bride of 27 years are all about each other and the open road together finally after the kids are grown and gone. When we retire its gonna be all about where is grammy and grampy now!
