Default Fairing Lowers; Off or On

Confused about Fairing Lowers. My shop told me I should take them off now that we're in the middle of a heat wave. They say the bike will run cooler and I'll be cooler on it. Talked to another shop manager who said the bike was made to be run with lowers on it, so leave them on. What would you guys do?

They came standard on my '00 FLTRSEI Road Glide and only one summer did I run with them off. Much prefer them on and I believe that the engine runs cooler funneling the air across the front of the motor when they are on there.

Even after rebuilding my wreck into a 'Road King' I left the lowers on. It's in the mid 90's every day here in NC for the next week or so and my bike doesn't ping at all.

Took mine off as soon as I got it home and never put them back on. In 09 the dealer said over 95* they recommended them off - I just like the look without them.

I dont even open mine any more , just got out of the habit I guess , even on a 100* day mine still runs in the 220*-230* area which is fine for a tc88

Default Lowers

I think the 103 motors run hotter than any other one that Harley has ever made...I took the doors off mine, just for the summer and they will go back on in the fall. It runs somewhat cooler with them off.
