At the Gm and Ford plants I have been to Foreign cars have to park in the last row , I can't see them having a problem with a American made bike in their parking lot , if they do , **** on them.

Immature? Perhaps

Intimidated? Doubtful

Good Company Policy? Not in my opinion. If they only want a specific brand (or brands) of motorcycles parking in a specific area, they should clearly designate such by virtue of well posted signage.

I, too, would have moved my bike. If for nothing else, to avoid any possible vandalism and the like by any haters.

Thanks for the comments, folks. Had I arrived alone, I know me well enough to know that I would have just left the bikewhere I originally parked itand went about my business. But I was thereas just one ina group of folks and didn't want to have my actions leave a bad taste in the mouths of the others. I was hoping that someone would say something to me when I went inside, so that I could quietly make MY point, but nobody did, so I just left it alone. I would like to have had the opportunity to tell some pinhead suit in there that I thought their policy was immature, and that I was sorry his egois so attached to his manufacturing company..

That is utterly ridiculous... I've never heard such a thing. I used to work at a Honda/Triumph shop, and owned a Harley while working there. No problem parking next to the Hondas. I also used to hang out at Harley shops when I rode Hondas, Triumphs and BSA.

I guess I feel a need to enhance my point a lttle. I'm NOT an employee there for one thing, and how do they know that I don't have a Victory in my garage that I park next to my H-D. And for that matter, I DO own Polaris products. One snowmobile and a Ranger. I just think these types of policies are immature, shortsightedand maybe even a little paranoid.

I would have found a spot and posted;" Harley's Only".

You have to keep in mind that those types of policies are made by people who couldn't care less what you thought of them.

It doesn't seem weird to me...

Look at the way so many of the HD Forum members here freak out and dump on anything that isn't Harley. I personally don't understand the attitude and to me it doesn't matter what someone rides. I'm not all hung up on whatever it is that causes folks to feel like that. I'm not going to bash someone because they don't think or feel the same way I do.

the polaris only parking is just a psycological approach to motivate the employees by making them feel special. I tell my guys the reason we get the hard jobs is because nobody else is tough enough to get the job done, last month I got a very nice bonus for work performance and bought my guys all a gift certifcate at a nice resturant , now I have people fighting to get on my crew.

Yep, ditto what pococj said..

ORIGINAL: pococj

Mixed bag - sign says "Muttersickles". If'n it said "Victory muttersicklesonly" I'd see no problem.
