I'd like one of each!

But as said earlier, Id prolly wait a couple years after they're out.
Still surprised that I bought the 07 with the six speed and no real track record.

S & S has already proved with their new Wedgeengine that an air cooled engine can meet EPA specs for now andthe future.Give me one of their stump pullers in a Glide, you can keep the water buffalos.

Do the big air cooled metric V-twins like the Yamaha Road Star or Roadliner have heat issues? If so, I haven't heard about it.

Your right. You never hear of anybody on a Yamaha air cooled complaining about heatlike a HD.HD can do what ever they want, they will just have to spend some of their bucks on R & D.

What about the Aircraft Industry? My Skylane 182 "air-cooled" 540 cu in. motor puts out a hell of a lot more polution into the air then a group of harley's put together. I smell a double standard over at the EPA.

There hasbeen all kinds of articles (including one posted on this forum) where Harley stresses that air cooled is what their customers want. They will be building air cooled bikes for a long time and with the very low sales of the VRod, they areno longer in ahurry tocome outwith a liquid cooled line of bikes (when they first released the VRod, that was one of the statements they made "there would more styles to follow"......almost 6 years later, ithasn't happened)

Thanks for all your replies.

I think there are a lot of "purists" that want a Harley the way it is. Nothing wrong with that. I think that the low sales on the V-Rod has to do more with the fact that there is only one model for that engine. If the V-Rod engine appeared in more models, the sale would be higher.

The responses I am getting here seem to bear that out.
