It doesn't sound like its coming from the air cleaner. It sounds like its coming from down low on the left side of bike. Could be deceiving though. I get the impression its the result of a sucking rather than a blowing of air.

This may be totally unrelated but are you turning off the key switch to turn off the bike rather than the run/kill switch followed by the key switch. There has been some debate in the past here on the forum both ways that just turning off the key switch rather than the run/kill switch first has different affects on the bike. Just a thought.
I don't what the "correct" way to do it is, but the saleman told me to always use the run/kill switch on the handgrip to turn it off because it had 4 contacts in the relay instead of just 1 like the switch on the tank (something like that)...so that's the one I've been using
As far as the bike goes it makes no difference(switch or kill), as far as the operator goes, the killswitch is good training incase of an emergency.

The "Toot" its the last stroke with out spark, nothing to be worried about (unless your going down the road!)

do you have an alarm with a siren? could be the alarm setting and giving you a chirp to let you know.

I tend to toot after a good ride. Loosens stuff up.

I was hoping against hope not to hear that one - but I was disappointed, as usual.

Mine never did, then did for a week straight and now hasn't done it in 2 weeks. [sm=confused06.gif]I'm not worried abut it.

Mine just started doing something similar the other day. I even posted a thread about it, probably 3-4 days ago. I started using the kill switch instead of the key switch, and it doesn't seem to be doing it anymore. Odd..

Gear whinin, gear clattering, over heating, surging, early corrosion on nuts & bolts, unstable at any speed, and now this...when will it end?
Good grief, some of you guys have all the problems.
I am blessed as an ecstatic 2007 Ultra (Black Cherry Pearl)owner for 27 days.
Just waitin for the SERT!
