Default Pig Leather Chaps?

My partner got some pig leather chaps which are softer than cow leather. I am wondering if they will offer any real protection in the event of a crash.

Pigs leather can be softer. However, it is denser and doesn't tear nearly as easily. Most quality leather work gloves are made of pigs leather. I would say it should be, at least, as good as any cow leather chaps he might be able to find.

Pig leather, hmph, good for one thing. Bury that Islamic extremist bastid in them. * grinz
