Chaps look fruity when you are a man, less than 5'10, and less than 150 lbs. It also helps to make them look fruity if you are wearing Aviator shades, one of those leather biker hats, and have a pencil thin mustache.
I'm inclined to beleive most guys over 6' and over 200lbs don't look fruity, of course if you are a pear shaped then you just look funny.
I go by the rule that I never make fun of or talk back to someone who has arms bigger than my neck.
