I wear mine quite often.&nbsp\\; I'm too old and ugly to give a **** about image.

 

For me, chaps are about having leather protection on my legs, so I wear them on every ride regardless of temp or weather. I choose chaps over leather riding pants because I can remove them when I get to my destination and then I'm just in boots and jeans for whatever I rode there for. Can't really do that easily with normal leather riding pants.

When I stop caring about my legs, I'll leave the chaps at home.

I got caught in a lot of rain last week and had them on. My crotch was soaked, so i was still a pretty unhappy camper, but my legs were dry from the thighs down, so at least that part of me was dry.

 

I usually wear them standing in the parking lot&nbsp\\;after any HOG function, along with all my other officially licensed HD gear, plus my doo rag and fingerless gloves. Once in awhile I wear them while riding, I look better giving every bike I pass the "bro wave".

 

Only if it's too cold.

 

Wear them to avoid road rash.&nbsp\\; Down twice, once on the highway and once in town.&nbsp\\; In town was the only time I lost skin and lots of it.&nbsp\\; They are functional not a fashion statement.

 

I wear my chaps when temps are 50 or below.

 

Never had a pair of chaps.&nbsp\\; I think they'd look good on my wife though... &nbsp\\; Honestly, I would rather just wear leather pants than assless chaps.

I wear my chaps below 55* or so.&nbsp\\; Also, in the rain.&nbsp\\; They make a big difference in how much I can ride. Some days in the spring/fall it will be 30*-40* when I leave for work in the morning and when I head home it is 60+.

 

I wear mine just about all of the time. Sometimes when it gets really warm I don't wear them on short rides around town. Seems I am like most people who wear chaps, I'm not making a fashion statement I wear them for protection.
