There are brighter bulbs you can buy but they still fall short. My next purchase is going to be the Moto Illumination LED headlight, it's $160. There's been dudes on FB and Instagram that say it performs as good or better than the Daymaker.

Good info guys thanks.

What I'd LiKE to do is put passing lamps on like a heritage softail. But I don't see how without making my Memphis fats windscreen useless. Just isn't room for it and I'd rather have the windscreen than passing lamps.

I ride at night, because I like it. Having had LED headlight/passing lamps on the softail, and now, dual halogen headlight with 37 watt passing lamp bulbs on the Road King,LED's just aren't superior enough to make me go back to them. All kinds of wildlife up here, lights don't save you, reaction time does, along with riding to the conditions. That means slowing down.
That pissant headlight on the little Harleys is a joke,I wouldn't ride after dark with one, either.

Here is what I just did. Relatively inexpensive and really lights up the front.

Thanks for posting up that Fuel Moto LED. 2800 lumens vs stock h4 at 1200 lumens is a vast improvement in candlepower. That replacement for the headlight bulb is next on my list!

Unfortunately, that light is concentrated in the 50- 70 foot zone in front of your bike. Wait till you ride in rain fog, the glare will be unsafe. Again, if you put any other light source in a headlight designed for a specific halogen bulb, it's not going to be operating at optimum efficiency........
