I had the stock HD bars on my 72 XLCH but they didn't come up as high as the later 70's buckhorn bars. They were comfortable bars. I also loved the suicide throttle and internal throttle cable and wiring. Twist the throttle to where you want and just hang on. I still roll the throttle grip back with my hand to this day.

I absolutely love my buckhorns. You're wrists are at a much more natural and comfortable position. Any bars, like drag bars, that force your wrists into an awkward position will cause problems down the road. Every stop light you'll be shaking your wrists to get the stiffness out. Think for a moment of a gunner in a WWI war plane and you'll see why these bars are so much fun and much more comfortable.

I'll put them on my Springer right away. Let's figure out a way to get them out of your garage.

Buckhorns on my 98 Springer. They were perfect for this bike.
