Im just not getting the mileage advertised out of these tires. I got 9000m out of my first rear tire. I bought another one just to see if I got a bad tire first time around. I been checking tire pressure everytime I ride. don't look like im going to get much better mileage out of this one. has anybody run into this same problem? im thinking about trying a Dunlop elite 3 next. what do you guys suggest?

Longevity of a tire is as variable as the weather. They last as long as they last. Try a different brand and hope you get better mileage from the next one.
You can only control a few factors:
1. Keep the proper tire pressure in the tire. If you aren't carrying the maximum capacity for your bike, there is no reason to put the maximum recommended pressure in the tire.
2. Don't be heavy on the throttle and leave rubber on the asphalt.

What I remember them advertising was up twice the mileage of their competitors. But they didn't say how much or who. Basically not claiming anything. I hated mine from the day I bought them. Didn't like the ride, handling, or feed back. I'm happy with the d407&8's now. I'm limited for my agitator wheels. I just hope Dunlop starts making my size in the american elite's before these wear out and have to blow money at the dealer.

I think anything near 10K on a rear tire is pretty darn good. My stock Dunlop rear tire on my 2007 XL1200R got almost 12K before changing. Since I avoid riding in wet weather if possible, and not a "spirited rider", I go for longevity over performance for motorcycle tires. Be interesting to see what my 2014 XL1200X Michelin Scorchers (stock on my bike) get.
