Id love to get 9k. Stock dunlops i got about 6.5-7k. Shinko 777 i got about 6.2 out of. Id love to hit 9-10k.

The front on my heritage i think will make it to about 18k though so thats not terrible.

The touring bikes get better mileage out of the rear tires than the Dynas or Softails.

The most I have gotten out of the rear on my Wide Glide is 9,000 miles (with the Avon Storm 2 Ultra), when I ran Metzeler 880's I got 6,000 miles.

My Limited got 15,000 out of the stock Dunlops, I currently have 13,000 on the Commander ll's and have a lot of tread left.

On the Wide Glide, I changed out two rear tires for every front tire. I don't believe that will be the case with the Limited, the fronts and rears seem to wear at about the same rate.

Everybody has their own style of riding, how they watch their tire pressure and that can have a factor in how long a set of tires last. I have MC'2 on my bike and they have already lasted longer than the Dunlops or the Avons that I have tried and they still have plenty of wear left. Just for the record, my rear tire has 16k and climbing.

Apparently there is at least one person hell bent on making sure the rest of us can't buy them anymore. Guy is suing them which is normal if you don't take responsibility to check your air pressure which is what I think the true cause of failure is here. And maybe overloaded.

add these two to the list of wearing a tire out faster:
1. if you down shift to slow down (every time you down shift, it causes extra friction)
2. types of roads your ride on mostly (smooth type roads vs. rougher texture type)
concrete is worse than a nice new black top type road

You ride the twisty's everyday, where I live. The road eats tires, it's just part of it.

This is very true and most of my riding is the same. Have tried many tires including the MC II's. Dunlop E III and the Metz trip 8's. So far like the 8's best for overall handling in all conditions followed by the E III's. Never cared for the MC II but I am in the minority. So be it. I know what my bike likes.

As mentioned tire pressure is crucial and I swear by a fine pressure gauge by Joes Racing. As with most things you get what you pay for.

Personally I've never seen new tires not feel better than the old ones taken off. See what you think at the 8k mark. I'm there and passed and still like them though.
