...you can google it. the local news covered it. not much information other than where it happened and a little bit on the parties involved.

I really don't see why some people feel it necessary to be so crass sometimes. My mother tells me to be careful on my bike EVERY time I talk to her. I see no harm in telling someone to be careful, and using instances like this to refer to.
What if this were a member of this forum? Or a friend of someone on this forum?
Gheez....people feel the need to post pics of their bike for praise from other guys that ride bikes that look identical, but bash on posts like this?
Don't like it? move on...

I see these threads as a reminder to refocus on safety. We all become complacent. Likely the intent of the OP.

The rider was someone's kin and a human being. Totally insensitive comments are not necessary. But since the deceased wasn't YOUR kin, it must be alright.
