I don't worry too much about this anymore. I guess you could buy taller boots or over the calf socks if you're afraid to show a little ankle.

This. I had the same problem riding with an ankle boot. After I purchased a boot with a 10" shaft, the problem went away. The material of the boot would somewhat adhere to the denim. That's right, I just said 10" shaft.

You might try a different pair of boots.Do you wear lace up or pull up boots?I wear Wranglers all the time with pull up cowboy work boots & never have them ride up on me even when I use the foot rest on the bars.

I don't worry about it unless they blow up over the knee, there's a law against showing that thing in public.

yes I do wear boots most of the time when I'm actually riding. I do wear tennis shoes to work most of the time. And maybe that's a lot of it. But even with my boots they blow up just over my boots. I agree it is probably the light weight denim. My work jeans are Carhartt carpenter rentals through Cintas. So the legs are a little baggier than my others.

i got a couple of pair of the Duluth Firehose (cargo maybe) pants for Christmas this year. I also got one of the Firehose insulated overshirts.

Best and most comfortable pants I've ever owned. Cant say enough about the overshirt either.

I wear lace up boots also. probably around 6-8" i guess. i had this issue on one particular ride, but think it was more of the way the wind was blowing than anything else. Normally not an issue.

Suggest new boots.

P.S. I bought a pair of Cabells Fleese Lined Jeans this year also. Talk about comfy and warm. I actually did take a very minor spill while wearing them within a few months. a couple of small tears in the denim. something in my pocket made one of them. Still wearing them.

Winner winner chicken dinner! Make sure they are long and not too wide at the opening.
