I have a problem.

I have a problem.
I have a 1997 Fatboy, 31,000 miles. This just started last night. After it has been running and you turn it off, you hear a kind of "rubber-meets-rubber" kind of squeek. Maybe it ISN'T rubber at all, but that's what it sounds like. So, anyone have any clue as to what this squeeking sound could be?

RE: I have a problem.
My Fatboy makes kind of a tingy noise after a ride when I shut it off. It seems to me that it is the exhaust contracting from the cool down. No leaks or other noises at all. If it were a rubber to rubber sound, you would think you would smell something too. Once mine cools off for about 1 min or so, the noise is gone. just my .02 Bubba

It's not really that kind of a noise either. It's just for a second, as the engine is settling down as soon as you turn it off. Maybe for half a second...But it's enough to agrivate me..[&:]

My 06 ultra does this, I'm about 99% sure it's just that last bit of exhaust that whistles as it goes through the exhaust baffles. It's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!!!

My 02 Super Glide did it too, never did figure out what it was though. As long as your bike runs good I wouldnt worry about it.
