Just made a deal with the devil...
sort of. A friend of mine needs references for his credit application for a new car he is financing. I have no credit and every time I try to finance something they say I need a cosigner so I siad Iwould be reference as long as he will co sign a loan if I ever need one. My brain is now quickly running through all the bikes I could get with a trade in of the fatty, or what I would really like to do is keep the fatty as I own it and finance another new bike like maybe a nightrod special for those times I want to go a little faster. Anyway, he said okay. I would much rather spend $3-500 a month on a new bike than anything else I need. I'm sure the wife will read this and laugh, but it is a nice thought...

That is the way I always have done things in the past. Thanks for the advice. I'd much rather own it immediately.

Have to agree with Texaschain.....and personally I would never sign for anyone (friend or relative) on a loan....if something goes wrong, your name goes down with them

I'm going through the same thing. I was at the dealer in Stuart, Fl., they have a custom made bike with an S&S 80 in. Eve that is just the way I am building my Street Bob into. They are asking 21,000.00 but will take my SB in trade and sell me the custom for 18,000.00. They will give me 10,000 for my bike and that leaves 8,000 difference.
I know I don't need a new bike, the SB is just over a year old but man is it ever pretty!

I'm with TexasTrain If you can afford 500 bucks a month for a bike thats great. How about putting the 500 bucks a month away now for at least 6 months before buying anything. That way you'll know for sure if you can afford it!
