Default At the end of the day, we're one lucky group of folks.

Board conflicts, differences of opinion, lifestyles, and reasons for riding aside – at the end of the day, when all is said and done, we are all one lucky group of folks. We get to enjoy what many out there only dream of doing. And that is, riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. I think it’s easy to forget just how damned expensive these things can be and how fortunate we all are to be able to have such an item. The majority of folks out there just aren’t in the position to lay out $20,000.00 or better on a motorcycle. We can and we do; for some of us, several times over.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but sometimes I tend to forget (take for granted) just how fortunate and lucky I’ve been in my life. I look around at the things I’ve accomplished, the tangibles I’ve acquired, the companies I've built, the people in my life, my amazng wife and children, and can’t help but be thankful. Sure, like so many of you, I’ve struggled and paid my dues. But in comparison to so many out there, it’s been a cake walk.

I guess what I’m trying to get at is that in spite of our differences of opinion here on the boards, let’s never lose sight of just how damn lucky we are to even be able to own a Harley; let alone several. Life is good.

Word up!! I think about this everyday. Everytime I wake up and stumble out to the Garage my day is already complete because my Iron Horse is sitting there staring at me. I know how fortunate we all are! My Dad always taught me to do 3 things:

1. Be Respectful
2. Be a good listener
3. Be a hard worker

He said if I could do these things, the world would come to my front door. Well, at 29 I own my own Harley, Lexus, have a 2 story house and a beautiful fiance! I am so blessed. Thanks for helping me remember TX07!! Ride Safe this weekend!!

Well said txharleyguy. We are blessed to live in the greatest country on earth and have the luxuries we have. God has truly blessed America. I think about it every day and thank God for the men and women who fight for the freedoms we have. The reason so many nations hate us is because of our free lifestyles and prosperity.

Yeah, I was thinking about this last night. It was a perfect evening. Just me, my RKC and a full tank of gas riding into one of those wonderful orange and red Oklahoma sunsets on a deserted rual highway.

I could not agree more & I'm glad to see a post like this. I'm always trying to get a ride to somewhere put together, but it's always "gee I'd like to go", or "maybe next time", @ 62 my days are numbered & I'm going to make use of every day that I have left.
