RE: At the end of the day, we're one lucky group of folks.
Every time I ride I'm thankful that I bucked my parents wishes way back as a teen and started riding so I'm not one of those people starting out riding in middle age. I'm not sure I'd wanna be starting to ride at my age now, especially on a bigger bike.
I think everyone should start out off-road in the dirt, even if just for a few months on an appropriate sized bike.
Just my opinion. Flame away.

Ditto TxHarley!
We have so much to be thankful for!
Everytime I am out on the road I cannot help but give thanks for the opportunity to ride (especially a Harley) and the wonderful countryside.

I walk around in a state of thankfulness, I have SO much compared to some people, my conscience wouldn't dream of letting me feel otherwise. Good post and Its nice to see so many others here feel the same way. IMO its a grand show of character.

There is a lot to be said about your post...... As we get older we kind of take for granted exactly what we DO have, and all the while were trying to get more.......nice to stop and smell the roses once in a while. There are a whole lot out there less fortunate.

Yes, it is a great life but, let`s keep it under our hats. Don`t want everyone in on the fun. That might make the price of Harleys go up! If that happens we`ll all have a lot more LUCK or work a LOT HARDER. I think I`m maxed out on both! Merry Christmas and a Harley New Year!
