Default Full paint job cost estimate

I'm debating. My local dealer has both a Fat Bob and a Low Rider on the floor that they really want to sell me vs. bringing in one from another dealer, because I don't want either paint colors.

I'm considering taking one if I can get enough of a discount to cover a paint job. Question is, what is a paint job going to cost. Nothing fancy. A single color of the same quality as a new bike. Any ideas?

Thanks.

If they want to sell the bike to you bad enough you can negotiate a deal on a paint job with them. Either that or get a deal on the factory custom colors tins.

If you're that picky about the color ( and why not ) you'll not be happy with a "repaint" ... get the color that you want right from the get go.

Totally agree. Go find the bike you want in the color you want.

I'd look to wrapping over repainting OEM paint.

But +1 find the bike you want.

I want ABS, so the only LR they have is the two tone silver and black, and the FB is blue. For the LR it would be black magic or vivid black on the Bob.

A quality repaint should be just as good as, if not better than, the factory paint. A single color with no graphics shouldn't cost you more than $1500 (likely less for basic black), and the beauty of this option is your available color palette is unlimited, unlike having to choose from 5 or 6 factory offered colors. Plus, you'll have your choice of tank badges/decals (or none at all).

I removed and prepped the tins. Body shop provided paint and sprayed. Paint was a three step process. I wet sanded, polished and installed. Cost me $600. The wife is still paying me back
