Default Opinion on Timing Cover image

I would like to change my timing cover, I live in the US but grew up in Canada and have dual citizenship. I have both American and Cdn flags at my house and would like to do something similar on my bike.

Fellow who does timing covers sent me these 2 proofs, of course the cover is fairly small so I think it will only highlight the bike a little. With my wrinkle black cam chest cover which would you choose to add some color and soul (I would have him deepen the red on the solo maple leaf version).

I'm not great with creative visualization so any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

First one with the red on black. The second one will just look like a dirty timer cover from 5 feet away.

I like the look of the 2nd one better, but I think Dickey is right. Go with the 1st one.

I like the colors on the second one a lot better but not in its current state. Could your painter take that paint scheme and "neaten" it up? What I mean is make it look not washed out on the line work and colors, use solid lines, same colors, solid fills and it would look great. Number 1 is too bold/bright unless your bike is that same tone. Just my opinion. Good luck.

I've lived in Canada my whole life and would never have anything on my bike that represents Canada. Day by day all our freedoms are being taken away, we are taxed to death with most of it going to First Nations who don't want to work. Too old to move!

If you must chose - #1 I think would look better - but if you are living and riding the bike in the USA, you might get some flack with the Canadian reference

Easy there ol' timer, he only asked which derby cover looked better; #1 or #2, not your political views on the downfall of Canadian society. lol
