When I moved to Phoenix in '85, I parked my bike in the living room of my apartment so nobody would steal it. The manager said I couldn't park a motor vehicle inside. I switched on the ignition, and the headlight came on. I said "it's a lamp." She left, and I never heard another word.

Hate to be a party pooper, but the national fire code would prohibit storage of gasoline inside the living quarters of an apartment. The gasoline, of course, is inside the bike's tank.
As property manager of the complex, giving permission for someone to "park" their bike, lawnmower, four-wheeler, etc. inside the apartment with fuel inside the tank will make you very liable should anything go bad that can be linked to the fuel being present.

when I moved to Tempe back in 98 I looked for apts where that was a major question was Parking the bike one told me it would be fine to put it on the patio as long as I put news paper down when bring it through the apt.
the one I finaly agreed on had a rear ally entrance with a gate I would ride in and nudge the gate with my front tire and put it on my patio No Problem .
