I used to not care too much for them. Over the years, they have really grown on me. Especially, on Softails. I am going with 16" on my Deluxe as soon as the tins get back from the painter.

Where's the misconception? I was think the question would be like "all people that have ape hangers are azz holes" now that would be a misconception.Just asking.

I dig apes.. the higher the better. I also dig extended forks. The longer the better. A blast to ride... feels great!

Wide Glide or Softail Custom is about as high and extended as I can go though for long trips. Really need two bikes.

Love the apes. Wish I would have gone a little higher.

I like em. Been looking at what's available. I can go 16" with existing risers and they will be about at my shoulders. There's a lot to chose from.
There will be about 70,000 bikes in town next weekend so I'll be keeping my eye's pealed for something I really like.

To each there own for sure! I happen to love apes, how they ride and how they feel. I personaly hate feeling like I am on top of the tanks with stock bars. But like I say, we all have our quirks.

there has to be a reason why they are illegal in many states and it isn't cause they look stoopid. hands should not be above your heart for a long length of time.......

Oh yeah. What about your brain? Is that why so many have their head up their azz?

Don't like em...
I agree with you, don't like them at all on any Harley model. They take away from the looks of every bike I have seen them on,but again the mini apes look pretty good on a lot of models, just don't care for the tall ones.

Take Care,
Bill G
