They make 1.5" I've seen um. Can't remember who but they do not use a sleeve and require a different riser too (bec. of diameter change). I'll try to find out.

Oh - I have 16" apes with forward controls on a spec construction out of a fat boy (sold to nephew). They were great but he rolled them all the way forward and it was way diffrent.

Well not sure about others but im short (5ft 7) i have mini ape hangers probably about the size of the bob on my softail standard and i dont think i would ever go back to standard bars. I have a question for some of your guys with the bigger apes. Would it be a problem for someone who is short to go much higher than the bob height.

I've seen a lot of bikes that look great with apes. The V-rod isn't one of those bikes. It would make an interesting trend for the 'Busa crowd.

So now your a phsycologist and understand everyone's motives. I guess all the folks on this post who say they are more comfortable are a pack of liars and are really screaming for attention...

I like my minis but I have some 16"s on order.......Anybody think I should go 18"s before it is too late to change my order?

Thisbike is more my style. Gonna start building one before too long.

I used to be an anti-ape man myself but I rode a RK with 12" mini-apes and I'm sold on them. I love the way the bike handles on the road and you feel more like you are sitting down in the bike instead of up on top of it. I will be going up to some 14 or 16s on my RK as soon as the dollar allows.

there has to be a reason why they are illegal in many states and it isn't cause they look stoopid. hands should not be above your heart for a long length of time.......

Oh yeah. What about your brain? Is that why so many have their head up their azz?
