Default Harley "soul"?

I've had a love affair with motorcycles for 50 years now. Had a number of them, of various makes. I had a '73 BMW for 15 years that I really connected with. I owned a later BMW that had no personality and was no fun to ride. I bought my first HD in '09 (a Super Glide) and was pleased that it had a personality. It wasn't an appliance, was fun to ride, and gave me great satisfaction. I now own an '11 FLHTCU and love it, too. The Harleys aren't perfect bikes, but they give me joy and pleasure. Has anyone else noticed that bikes have personalities?

Nope. It's just a lot of steel, some rubber and wires. It does make me happy and sometimes sad. And unlike what some think, my bike is not a "she/her". It's "the bike".

Been riding for 45 years now. Have owned more non Harleys than Harleys. My next bike will be a Harley and my last bike will be a Harley. There is something about them that when I am on one everything just feels "right". It's an intangible, can't put my finger on it, but Harley satisfies like no other.

Some of us have an emotional attachment to our bikes, others do not.
I tend to believe in the connection between man and machine; which have been some of my fondest memories...

I haven't had the Dyna long enough to find out, but my Sporty definitely had a personality. Patient, and a little cantankerous.

Just a bike. There have been more before it and will be more after it.

It scratched an itch when I bought it.
Another bike will scratch the itch when it comes.
