Dunwell Jacks

RE: Dunwell Jacks
Does anyone know if the Dyna Adapters for the Dunwell will fit another manufacturer's lift? Specifically, I have a Craftsman lift which I like very much, but the Dyna adapters from HD are a pain in the butt to use. If anyone's bought the $50.00 adapters andmounted them on another lift, I'd like to know how they work.

OK I screwed up. I should have listened to you guys about Dunwell.
I went to Harbor Freight and bought one of their $70 motorcycle jacks. The guy there to me he had one and how great it was. BS
I got the thing home and read the instructions. You cand roll the jack with any weight on it. You have to screw down some stabilizer pins bfore jacking anything up. You have to secure the bike to the lift with 4 straps before jacking up the bike.
Back to town for a refund.
Called Dunwell, talked to Denise, ordered a 1700 with the Dyna heads for my 05 RK. Ordered the handle and oil drain pan. FedEx will have it here Saturday.
Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.

RE: Dunwell Jacks
Changing to the Dyna heads delayed the shipping. FedEx only delivers on Saturday where I live so I missed the delivery for today.
I will let you know when it arrives and post some pictures of it in use.

I'm looking for a jack/lift for a 2001 Dyna FXDXT. There's a Dunwell 2000 on Craigslist about an hour away (asking $250). I've asked him if it has the optional Dyna adapter , and he said that he's not aware of any adapters. He said he bought it from Dunwell at a motorcycle show, and used it on his 1998 Dyna SG with no problems. Is it possible that it has the "built-in" Dyna adapter? Does anyone have any pictures of a Dunwell 2000 with the adapter?

Dunwel Jacks
I first saw these jacks at Daytona Bike Week. At their booth a guy was sitting on the BACK SEAT of my identical bike without straps while fully raised on the jack. After a closer inspection of the welds and materials I bought the 2000 model on sight in 2001. No straps required and four caster wheels. This jack has performed flawlessly for a dozen years. It was $425. back in the day and worth every penny. I wish I had a dime for every biker friend who tried to save a buck and ended up paying more in the long run. I used to see their booths at Sturgis every year and haven't now for a long time. I suspect they no longer make these wonderful jacks, but, hope so. If not, the only replaceable parts are the bottle jacks and can easily be found. I highly recommend these jacks.
