Well,

In the first place...........aaaaaaaaaagggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh. ......I realized I'm reading another "wave thread"................got me again..........

If you let go of the throttle and raise your right hand to wave.......the bike slows down
If you let go of the left bar to wave.........then the people behind you think you're making a right-hand turn.......there, I feel better now..................

THere's always the:

1. Wave

3. Shoot Finger Accordingly and with Conviction
4. Carry on about your business

I like the "<so-and-so> riders are stuck-up since they never wave back...the bastards".

I think you will find that at Sturgis and other rally sites, nobody waves. You would never be able to ride. It's funny when leaving Texas for Sturgis everyone is waving. Then when you get about two states away from SD there becomes a pilgrimage of bikers and you have to stop waving. But the pilgrimage sure looks and sounds good.

I think it started out as a warning (like 'dead possum coming up there around your left side'), and grew from there
It's Morepower's fault. He whacked the possum.

I wave pretty much any way I can at the moment (depending on what's going on). More often than not, it's just a simple left hand off the grip wave.

that low wave is just another silly azzed harley image type thing. It's a pretty good way to identify a relative newcomer though.

Well, the ol' raised fist of the 70's would look kinda goofy these days. Anybody else remember those?
Yup, I do. Matter of fact, was on a ride on Sunday and got the high fist from a guy in his front yard. Man, had a brief flashback....Right on, right on.
