A routine? A ritual? A superstition? You have one?

A routine? A ritual? A superstition? You have one?
Was curious as to whether any of you folks had any 'pre-ride' routines? You know, something that you do each and every time you get on your bike. Some might call them rituals or maybe even superstitions?Regardless, is there anything that you do prior to (or maybe even during) taking a bike run that maybe you never even realized until you stopped to think about it? Now I'm not talking about the pre-ride safety checks of the bike and such. That's a given. Anyone?
I mention this because I was having a conversation with a neighbor buddylast night andhe asked mewhy it was that each time I left the neighborhood on my bike that I made the loop of the cul de sac (in the opposite direction) rather than just heading straight down toward the end of the street? I told him that I hadn't realized I did that? Wasn't by conscious design. But when I got to thinking about it, I did do it each and every time. He thought it was kinda' funny and was just curious if there was a reason. He wasn't complaining or anything; just observed the fact that evidently I did the same thing each time I headed out.

I always put left glove on first, no exceptions. Not sure why.

No particular habits on inspection and start up except for making sure she's in neutral and the clutch is pulled in.
But before getting off, I won't budge unless I first look down and can see the jiffy stand boss slide all the way into the safety slot... every time!!!
