You're welcome to pass me on the shoulder.

Am I in the wrong here. I have ridden over 75,000 miles and no bike has ever passed me in my own lane.

This sound dangerous and disrespectul.
You're totally in the right. Passing in the same lane is not only stupid and dangerous but highly illegal. At least it is over here and I can't believe safety laws are much different on your side of the pond. Happened to my partner and I once years ago (him riding + me passenger) on our way home from a long trip, a BMW car passed us in our lane. We were already driving around 80 m.p.h. but this guy shot past so fast it was as if we were standing still. VERY scary, shook us up and damn near killed us.

If you're travelling low speed and choose to pull over and wave someone on that's one thing, but all other circumstances No Way!

I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be passed in my own lane. I don't do these things to other riders and I require the same from them!

Exactly.

A bunch of slow old azz folks who can barely maintain a line on their new hog putzing along. More of a safety issue to have these re-entry riders ahead of me as they wobble about...

Just let me by so I can enjoy a ride w/out the parade of costumed slow pokes in front of me...

Yes, I encourage others who are riding faster than me to pass as well.
