Hey Clammy, is your bike dirty, or is it just the photo? Dude, you could stand some ArmorAll.
Yeah, she's filthy in that pic. I took it last fall, after it had rained for what seemed like a week! I ride in all kinds of weatherm, and she looks like that more often than not.

Cheers!

Love my music on long rides! Hey Clammy....where did you find those ear buds? I need to replace the set that came with mine.
Thanking you in advance.
I got them at a local music store - one that sells instruments. The triple flange buds don't come with them, but they only cost about 10 bucks.

Cheers!

I've always been afraid to listen to music on the bike. Too many stupid people on the road. I want to keep my mind on the road (and scenery).

Does anyone find it distracting? Maybe I'm overreacting.
It's no more distracting than having the wind howling in my ears. Actually, I find that I concentrate better with the music going.

Cheers!

I spent $130 for some custom molded earplug speakers from Dr. Navas at one of the Bike shows at the DC convention center. I'm a former Army guy (26+ years) with ears damaged by years ofloud noises and no earplugs and want to perserve what little hearing I have left.

I have modified the HD headset on my Ultra to accomdate the earphones and get great sound from the radio/ipod or whatever.

But this is what works for me, it may not be your style.

Good luck.

I have thought about pluggin my iPod in but I am still leary about it. For some reason if there is some noise around from maybe an upcoming car that I missed in my mirror or something up ahead I want to hear it. Maybe I will get over it soon.
I use mine (with the factory earphones) You would be surprised how much road noise you still here. Definitely not like when u wear them in the house, and they cover all the noise.
