Daytona bike week 2015
My girlfriend and I just booked our flight and hotel for our first trip to bikeweek. We had heard from many people that its awesome. The hotel is on North Atlantic, and it looks like a nice place. We can't wait until bikeweek and warmer weather. I'm looking into getting my bike shipped down ,but I think it will have to stay home.
Who is going to bikeweek? For any of you that have gone is there anything or a place that's gotta be seen while there.

You're going to love Bike Week, but not if you're on foot--you'll be the only one walking! Even if you rent a car parking is going to be a nightmare, so I would advise shipping the bike or renting while you are there. I've been riding to Daytona for Bike Week & Biketoberfest since '99 and every year the venues get more spread out (MILES apart)!! There's Main Street (near where you are staying), N. Beach & Main where the old dealer was, The Destination (new dealership) at '95 & Hgy 1, the Daytona Speedway, as well as tons of other places you want to go for the bands and beer (Ironhorse, Cabbage Patch, Last Chance, etc). All the locations are packed with vendors, food, beer. Don't forget you'll want to spend most of the day RIDING in the warm!!!! I think the dealer rents bikes, but reserve soon!

I'm there every year.
Have To Do:
Willie's Tropical Tattoo Bike Show. Unbelievable garage builds. Huge variety of bikes. If you have to catch one event and are into bikes, this is it. http://www.tropicaltattoo.com/ct/cho...w-gallery.html
Steak and Taters at the Iron Horse
Grab a beer and watch the circus move up and down Main St.
Beer at Boot Hill Saloon. (it is actually better when it's not bikeweek)
Hit the beach, but that is a given.
Cole slaw wrestling at the Cabbage Patch. (just so you can say you've been there)
Flat track racing if you are into it or if you have never seen it.
Destination Daytona. I don't like it, but go just the same.
For a nice get away for an afternoon, go hit Saint Augustine.

Ride A1A light house to lighthouse, get a drink at the hidden treasure rum bar, don't know if it is still open but the broken spoke was my favorite bar. Watch the clown in the dunk tank, funny chit. Did I mention riding a1a? Hard to have a bad time there unless you don't know what fun looks like. Have great time!

Seriously dude, if you can't take your bike, don't bother. If you don't want to make the ride, look into renting a uhaul trailer or truck. Or consider taking your bike on the auto train. Weather permitting, make the ride. It's really not that bad.
