Where do you stash your Gun?
Salutations,
Any of you bros have a safe stash for your , legal, weapon when it has to be left with the bike?
(i.e., When entering a public school to fetch your children.)
Kills me to remove it from my person at times like that but laws are laws...
Thanks,
Mark

I don't see where you have many options. You have a motorcycle and maybe a windshield bag and maybe saddle bags. That shouldn't leave too much to the imagination.

If you know you are going to the school then dont take it. I would rather ride with out it then leave it on the bike. All you need is someone to see and go over and take it. How do you explain that one to the Law. But is the gun legal???? As you said the law the law. It also says it must be locked and secured so no kid can get their hands on it. Just my $.02.
There is sooooo many what if?????[sm=badidea.gif]

Main thing is to be safe with the weapon. If you can leave it at home or with someone else long enough togo to someplace that has strict limitations that is best. If you leave it on the bike use a trigger lock or slide lock as a deterent just in case. Without saddle bags or trunk you have limited options that are readily accessible. Best of luck.

That is a drag. Fortunately, in California CCW is legal on school grounds. The only place it is a problem is at my older sons school, since it is on a Military base.

Here in NC it's illegal to carry on a school premise or a park. I have a CCW but really don't find the need to carry very often.
If I do carry it's a VERY small Keltec P3AT (.380) in my jeans pocket - sometimes I'll use a wallet holster and there is virtually no fingerprint. The P3AT is the gun on top and you can see how small it is compared to a 38 snubbie. Mine is very reliable and unlike the Beretta Tomcat I've never had it jam or fail to feed.

You must be one of the 5 with a CCW in California.

Much thanks guys.
Yes here in Tennessee I carry magnum revolvers legally.
They DO NOT need to be concealed here but they ARE NOT legal on public School grounds.
Trouble is I don't always have the convenience of advanced notice when I'm on the road and have to pick up my oldest son.
Rest easy gents, I will always keep it on me rather than taking the chance of a child accessing it.
I was really hoping one of you knew of a new security option for Harleys, to holster weapons.
No, I don't have bags on my 2000 FXDX.
Salute,
Mark
