I have a 1/2, 3/4 + a FF andI use the ff almost exclusively. Personaly I don't care if people think it looks stupid to be wearing a helmet while riding a Harley. I'm not out to impress anyone, anyway. IMO they are more comfortable and safer even though I've never had the misfortune of testing for myself over the past 25 years of road riding I believe it's common sense.
Some freinds I ride with not only don't wear helmets they've told me they WON'T wear them, which is their decision and I respect that, but I have never heard a good explanation for why someone would not use a helmet.
