Battery tender for multiple bikes
#12
My dealer has a tender that they can hook up 10 bikes at once.
Needed in the showroom with so many bikes. Newer bikes are always doing a slow drain with the electronics today.
Plus the bikes aren't flying out the door, now that winter is here.

There sure is!
Deltran Corporation, makes a four-bank "Battery Tender.
I have one (in additions to several single units) that I bought several years ago, but honestly, I think buying the single units may be just as economical and you have more flexibility as to where you can use them.

I leave the battery fitted to the bike through the winter and just connect a battery tender for 10 or 12 hours once every month or so. Doing it this way I get a feel for what sort of condition the battery is in by what sort of charge it holds for a few weeks.

I was just talking to my Indy about this yesterday. He said it was a bad idea because if 1 battery dies, the charger will distribute the charging load difference to the remaining batteries. 10 batteries were killed because 1 went bad and the other 9 were overcharged.
Your indy is a dumba$$.
DO NOT LET HIM WORK ON YOUR BIKE.

You can buy either two or four single battery tenders for less that the two or four bank units. And the H-D units are simply Deltran tenders with orange labels (except that they cost even more than the green label units).
