I used them in Iraq instead of the crappy issue googlle that you had to change lens in between night and day and loved them. They held up for 9 months of abuse. My only downside to them is that they obstruct my periferal vision a little compared to blade type lenses.

I use Panoptyx also, great glasses. They are not good in the rain though, rain gets in the breather slits and sits on the inside of the lenses.

Like everyone else...I LOVE my Pan's I use transition lenses, and have ridden with the same pair for 5 years.

You will have the foam fall apart at some point, but you can send them to the company, Or find thier display at a rally, and they will fix that for a small fee of 25.00 I finally had mine fixed last summer at the Miluakee rally. The simply change the frames, and you keep the same lenses.

WIfe also has a pair, and also likes hers alot. We both had Lasiks and I fear for my eyes. The Pan's have kept everything out.

Pans are good glasses until you drop them. They will scratch in a heartbeat. I bought a pair of Curvz and have been wearing them since.

I had a pair of H-D sunglasses with the pop-out lenses (dark tint for day, clear for night). I dropped and broke these while pulling my bike of the trailer, not the best way to start a week at Daytona. A trip to Destination H-D, and a slightly lighter wallet later I had a new pair of Panoptyx transition lenses. I used them the entire tiime I was down there, and overall I'm very happy with them. The newer models have a removable foam, allowing you to shed the goggle feature when not on the bike. I have found that on really bright days the Panoptyx aren't as dark as I'd like. This is probably a result of too many years wearing Oakleys. I also discovered that the transition lenses are confused by the UV shielding of your higher end full face helmets. With the shield down on the helmet, the lenses don't "sense" the sunlight and they lighten like dusk.

I like my PanOptx a lot. I wear contacts and have tried a bunch of the cheaper glasses and nothing compares to my PanOptx. Granted they were $185 but worth every penny in my opinion.
