Default Stolen Helmet?

Just curious if anyone has ever stole or vandalized your helmet when you've left it on your bike?

Do you lock it on? If so, what method do you use?

I have heard of this happening, but in all my years of riding it has never happened to me.

If I am close to the bike or only going to be gone a short time, most of the time I just leave the helmet on the bike unlocked.

If I am in an area where I have never been before or going to be away from the bike for several hours, I will use a helmet lock to secure it to the bike.

I have one of these on my engine guard.

Ive seen a carabiner lock on ebay that uses a combination made for helmets so its big enough to fit around your bars or anywhere you want to put it... No matter how you lock it theres allways the possibility of someone just cutting your strap and taking it, even though the helmet will probably be ruined.. Only known one person who has had their helmet stolen off the bike.

Went to Lonestar rally not long ago, left my helmet hanging on the bike, same with others I went with. At end of the day they were still there. Of course, if I left it hanging at the mall it might have disappeared. My thought is if someone takes it, I will just ride home without the helmet. Gives me a reason to look for another.

I've never had an issue, but now I just store it (half shell) in my saddlebag so I don't tempt anybody...if I'm going to be away from my bike for awhile.

Probably less likely to happen in a no helmet law state.

Never off of my bike but I had one stolen in the early '70's and it had to have been taken by someone I was working with.
Real bummer at the time as my brother had given it to me as a birthday present.

Some people would steal a t***d if left unattended!

Nope and all I've ever done is just hang it on my handlebar.
