Default Progressive Insurance

Have to give credit where credit is due. My bike was knocked over by a hit-and-run driver last October and the bill to repair it was close to $3,000. Since there were no witnesses, the officer that filled out the accident report used words like 'owner claims', 'owner guesses', and 'owner thinks' when he described what I told him. I was a bit worried about that as I thought it would look bad to the Progressive representative. Well, it must not have concerned them because theypaid for all repairs without asking me a single question.

The best part...Just received my renewal notice and was a little leeryopening the envelope thinking that this is when I'd get bit in the ****. Nope, history of the account mentions a 'No Fault' accident from last year but annual rate actually went down $9!

Thought this information might help some of you decide on a provider.

Being in the insurance industry I can say that Progressive has an excellent claims service. Unfortunately in this area it is about twice the premium as other carriers.

I still refuse to give any money to a company that is such a strong supporter of the ACLU. Glad they took care of you though.

Progressive has been very good to me with two claims, and my annual H-D insurance premiums are around $175 annually with a $500 deductible.

LOL. I called progressive and they wanted $2,000 a year to insure my Fat Boy. I just laughed in their face and hung up. I now pay $600.

my 07 fatty is just under 500 a year through progressive.
It's amazing to me how 1 number difference on zip code and a credit report can change your rate tho . . .

It's all about zip code, credit, and if you have other policies with them. I've got three cars, our house, and my bike through them. Premium for my bike is a little over $300, with almsot max coverage that they offer, the only reason it's that high is because of a couple towns around us. I have had excellent service from them for anything we've needed.

I've had Progressive covering my bikes for about 15 years now. They are consistently lower in premiums, and their service has always been top-notch. I pay right at $500 a year full coverage for my RK, and have no other vehicles insured through them. Meanwhile, I have two vehicles and my house insured through alstate, and they still quote higher than Progressive for the same coverage on my bike.
