Default long underwear

Just came back from Dunhams sporting goods. I was going to buy some of those underarmor long johns and shirt. I thought they were a little high in price. Around a hundred dollars. I don't want to pay that much if they are not worth it and, don't do the job of keeping me a little warmer in the "spring" air. Anyone have any experience and knowledge of/or with them?

I always see those on sale. I just use the poly pro long underwear I use for skiing. Some are Hot Chili's and I forget the name of the other brand. They work great!

Since I own a sporting goods store I will chime in here. Under Armour is really good stuff and works well. You can get the same stuff from a company called Game Gear at half the price. Made from the same exact fabrics. Russell has some good stuff too that is much cheaper.

I have under armor and love it. worth every penny. use for riding, fishingand hunting. Better feel and fit than the long underwear. can wear all day with out knowing it is on. I will have to check into the generics. You will only need one or two pair. they are very durable

I use the same thing, very warm and not expensive. I'd like to tell you what a great skierI am, but I've never been on skies in my life. I just happened to be in a sporting goods store one day, saw these "skiers" longjohns and thought I'd try a pair for the bike..............next to my WileyX goggles, I'd say they are the best riding gear purchase I've ever made.

I use the Starter brand stuff from Walmart for about 25% the cost of Under Armour. I've been wearing the 4 shirts for 3 years now. They are still in great shape.

On the bottom, I wear thin polypro long underwear that I get from A&N for about 8 bucks each.

I bought a pair of silk long johns from L.L. Bean. I'm not sure they work too well. I'll wait til next winter to find out.

Best you can buy...Cabelas "polar weight" long jons, $34.00 or something like that. Underr the jeans and chaps, keeps the legs warm down to 35.
