RE: long underwear
Check out the Cabellas.comBargain Cave..this time of year they have a lot of stuff on sale - with warm weather coming up you could probably find the better quality stuff there at a discount.

I have Underarmor that I use for police work. I rode the bike Wednesday and it was 22 degrees out. Rode it on the interstate and on shady backroads at 70-85 mph where it was a lot colder than 22 degrees. I was wearing the Underarmor long johns under my jeans and chaps and did not have any issues.....was not wearing one of the shirts though and wished I had!

spent 3 weeks Jan '06 in Colorado in Pike National Forest andSan Isabel National Forest. If you're moving on foot with a load, silkskins under pants are fine; if riding and not exerting, the Under Armour Cold Gear is a safe bet. I was over 12,000 ft elevation and below 0 temps and the UA gear worked unbelievably well.

just backing up your story, Dawg, that UA gear works good; linked up with some of those same cats for the Telefest at Mad River Glen in your neck of the country last month. You do any skiing, get there next year and look for a group that don't fit in with the hippie crowd, that would be us. good time guaranteed.
