Default Garmin Nuvi/Zumo GPS question

I have a Garmin Nuvi 789 GPS. It's smaller in size and weight than the Zumo. Aside from maybe the included mount is there something special about the Zumo that makes it motorcycle friendly or will the Nuvi work?

Thanks

The Zumo is water proof and shock proof. Some GPS's will turn off after they get too much vibration.

Save your money.... NUVI works great, been riding all over with one.

Get this for an easy mount: http://www.motomount.net/products/ga...uvi-gps-mount/

And get a usb cig adapter and a nuvi power cord your cooking.

I had a Garmin for years. When it finally died I bought the HD Zumo Road Tech. I like the mount and especially like the integration to the radio (with the NIM). I also like being able to download waypoints which I couldn't do with my Garmin. Loaded 1,000 songs on the Zumo that I can play through the radio if I'm so inclined.

On the Road Tech Zumo 665 i just picked up, I am enjoying the 90 day free trial for the XM radio, Traffic, and Weather. So far everything works just like it is supposed to.

Default You don't need an expensive GPS

The key is the mount - if you get a quality mount you will NOT have trouble with GPS shutting down due to vibration. True of so many things, right? You get what you pay for. Check out the eCaddy mounts for GPS, they have anti-vibration built in. Get yourself one of those (there are waterproof options too BTW) and a cheap Garmin Nuvi and you're ready to ride! http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/garmin-nuvi-mounts
