Default Using heated liner without jacket

Anyone use the heated liner without a jacket? If so, does it still work pretty well?

No, it needs something to cover and block the wind.

It works so/so w/out an over-jacket and depending on temps. The panels are spaced apart under the lining and those are the heated areas; IOW the entire surface area of the jacket does not heat. So if the temps are cold enough you will feel some cold where the panels are not located. No biggie if it's 50; more so if it's 30.

I have Gerbing jacket liner, I wear it under vest all the time, my sleeve are still warm. It might be a little warmer with jacket on top. Both work!

Gerbing will tell you that theirs is not made to wear as outer ware. They sort of imply that it's not made to take the wear of the wind. At the price of it, I keep mine covered.

Yeah I'm just talking about those in-betweener days when a jacket on top is a bit much.

Then you probably do not need a heated liner, just a warm jacket.

Default Jacket Liner

Don't you have a controller for it ? Wear an outer jacket and turn the controller down or off if it gets too warm.

They don't block the wind.
