Tulsa and KC riders, need advice
Me and the OL are going to be going through Tulsa, OK on 10/15 and KC around 10/16. We'll be staying a day or 2 at each city before making our way back to St. Louis.
We're thinking about going to the Rt 66 Historical Village and the Air and Space museum in Tulsa. Haven't begun to check out KC yet. Is there any restaurant, bar or attraction in either city that we shouldn't miss? Also is there any place that we should stay away from?
From what I'm seeing it looks like the Blue Dome District in Tulsa is where most of the stuff is. We're not really looking to go out partying, just trying to find something cool and unique to the area.
Thanks for the input.

If you are interested in museums, plan on the WW1 museum in KC. Awesome. It's across the street from KC's Union Station and there is good places to eat nearby. You definitely want to eat at one of the better BBQ places like Bryant's or Joe's (formerly Oklahoma Joe's). Google will tell you where. If the OL likes shopping, plan on visiting the Plaza (officially, the Country Club Plaza).
There are four HD dealers in the metro area, so you can visit one and remind yourself what having the bike would have been like. Great riding around here.
I recommend any lodging in the south part of the metro. And one note, check the baseball playoff schedule. There just might be a game in KC at the time you say you are coming and lodging might be at a premium.
Hope this is what you were looking for.

The Power & Light District downtown is nice but rather pricey. Lots of restaurants and pubs. The Negro Leagues Museum is cool, lots of history.

I second this...nice tour. They make a few Dynas and the V-Rod there. Wait until after the tour for the gift shop, they give you a discount.

The rule of thumb in Tulsa is stay south of 15th street and east of the river and you should be fine. Head to the Expo Center and take your pic with the Golden Driller.
Head into Brookside for all types of food and entertainment, and maybe stop by Crow Creek if a "biker bar" is your kind of thing.
Go to Woodward Park to take some snappy pics with your bike. (not far from Brookside)
If casinos are your thing, we have Hard Rock out on the east side and River Spirit down by the river.
I personally don't care much for downtown so I can't comment on the Blue Dome District.
Also, Quik Trip will serve you well in both Tulsa and KC for gas, coffee and convenience store items.
If you have any questions, PM me and I'll shoot you my phone#.
