When the show 1st came on I would watch it each week. But it soon became the same ole same ole every week, we have a deadline and we cant meet it, alot of hollering and fussing (drama) and at the last minute everything would fall into place, was the same ole thing every week and it got old fast for me.

I usually enjoyed watching the show. I liked watching the mechanical part of it. When Senior would take off on one of his rants I'd change channels for awhile and then come back.

I do have to say like others I grew tired of the common-drama theme through the show. Watched it enough to realize a drinking game could be easily made.
drink when Paul Sr. throws a tantrum
drink when Paul Jr. shows up late
drink when a project is behind schedule
drink when they do their "I gotta tell ya" lines
drink when some part does not fit
drink when Mikey does something stupid instead of work
There were some interesting bikes, but few I would pay to own

Put it this way, If i were to drop that kinda smack on a bike, OCC isnt where i would drop it, just my personal preference. And although their show was once fun to watch, after a whileI soonrealized it was basically the same show over and over and over again, only just a different colored bike. Early in the show they were more all outTrue biker types and it was appealing to just see how builders work behind the scenes, and it was fun to watch them struggle with everything involved. Now that they are all hollywood, they have lost that biker feel with me and today are more like cartoon characters. Not knocking cartoons either, but thats what Sponge Bob is for.
As far asthe qualityof their bikes. I dont know if those bikes are made to put a whole lot of miles on em. I bet you if you were to average out the number of miles owners of those bikes put on, it would be a MAX of a thousand miles a year. It seems to me that people buy those to look at, not ride, and sodont give any consideration to quality or function.

I used to like to watch the OCC boys, but it became too predictable. IMO, the best bike they ever built was that old school bike that was built by/for Cody. It was simple, straight forward and very nicely done. Theme related bikes do nothing for me. This may be part of the reason I bought my FXD. It is simple andstraight forward.
I don't have the time to waste on being jealous. Too much energy and too little return on the investment.

I watch the show periodically, but I have never been a fan of their style of bike. It's more of a bar hopper or parked and look good bike. How many of that style have any of us seen on the actual road?

OCC was a fun show to watch and I totally respect those guys for what they have accomplished and the recognition they have brought to bike builders. Am I jealous of them? Hell Yes! What I wouldn't give for the kind of money to be able to open a big shop and be creative and build bikes.
To see what kind of quality work they do you just need to watch the show. I remember an episode where Senior didn't want Pauly to waste time putting front brakes on the bike he was working on!
Compare them to Jesse James for example.
OCC runs into a problem, they work around it.
JJ runs into a problem, he fixes it.
OCC uses purchased frames and tins (sometimes, they did start building their own frames).
JJ hand builds everything.
OCC gets bikes done for a deadline.
JJ gets a bike done when he is happy with it.
OCC finishes a bike then trailers it to a show somewhere.
JJ finishes a bike and rides it across the country.
